Hi, welcome to the About Me page!

Hi I’m Shauna and that’s my daughter Bailey! I’m a Type A organizer, and I’m at my happiest when I get a new box of highlighters and I get to cross things off of my to do list.

I live just outside Salt Lake City with my husband Joe, daughter Bailey, and sons Joey, 8, and Wylie, 6. I not only love to cook food, but I love to eat it too!

I’m a firm believer in using easy ingredients to create delicious recipes that my family and friends can easily re-create at home.

WHY DID I START THE BEST BLOG RECIPES

That sure is a loaded question!

In December of 2012 I started a "blogger" blog so I could keep track of recipes online to share with my friends and family. I was always in the kitchen recipe creating and wanted to have one place that they could go and see what I had been working on.

I'll never forget the day I realized that you could make money just by taking pictures of food. Those little annoying ads on food blogs are how all of those Mom's and Dad's support (or supplement) their families. Who knew?!

The first month I started blogging I made a whopping $0.17, and I was SO excited! No joke. I called everyone and told them how much I made just by doing something I loved.

Fast forward 8 years and I'm so blessed and lucky to be able to provide for my family of 5 by still creating delicious recipes and sharing them with the world!
