This DIY Homemade Miracle Cleaner is so easy to make and saves you so much money over the brand name spot removers. You’ll wonder why you didn’t start using it sooner!
To say that I have stains of my laundry that won’t come out is the understatement of the year! We have 2 boys under 2 1/2 and every single day they figure out a way to get stains in their clothes without even trying. It amazes me at how dirty they can get and the baby isn’t even crawling or walking yet. I can’t even imagine what it’s going to be like when that happens. That’s why I am so glad I saw this Homemade Miracle Cleaner on Pinterest! I have saved so much money by making my own DIY Laundry Spot Remover. I can’t even tell you how much I’ve saved in salvaged clothes that I didn’t have to turn into rags because I couldn’t get the “spot” out.
This laundry stain remover is great at set in stains, grass stains, grease stains, blood (yuck), and stains that small children somehow get in their clothes, lol! As always I recommend testing a small area on the fabric to make sure that your garment won’t fade or discolor but hey — if the piece of clothing already has a stain on it how much more damage are you really going to do 🙂
I love to keep a bottle of this in my kitchen for my kitchen towels. My husband is notorious for wiping up things with a towel that stain and my towels always looked yuckie. Now we just spray them and throw them in the laundry and they come out clean for a change.
Before I tried this stain remover I did my research and all the blogs that had tried this stain remover had nothing but good things to say about it. You can read all of their reviews here: Pink Polkadot Creations, Tidy Mom, Saved By Grace and Modern Day Moms.
The best part of this cleaner for me is that it is super easy to make. No fuss. No guessing if I did it right. You just add dawn and peroxide and voila… you have Miracle Cleaner!
You’ll need just 3 things to make this DIY Miracle Cleaner:
- A cheap spray bottle
- A bottle of Peroxide
- Blue Dawn Dishwashing liquid
To Mix It:
- 1 Part Dawn
- 2 Parts Peroxide
All you have to do is mix and spray directly on your stain, launder as usual and then watch as it disappears like MAGIC.
If you have stubborn stain that is set in you can grab an old toothbrush, some baking soda and your Miracle Cleaner. Just spray the stain and then sprinkle a little bit of baking soda on it and give it a little scrub. Let it sit for about an hour before throwing it into the washer. If you have something that has a larger stain you can always grab a 5 gallon (clean) bucket — we buy ours from Home Depot for super cheap and keep one just for soaking stubborn stains. Just fill it with hot water and soak your stained garment for a couple of hours and then throw it in the wash. If you have something that is stained really bad give it a second spray and re-wash (although I very rarely have to do this).
