So I’m almost done with day #3 of my Cleaner Healthier Eating habits when it hits me…. I need something sweet – like right now! Does that happen to you guys? I’m sure it does so you’ll understand why it is so hard to ignore. When I get a craving for something sweet it usually just gets worse and worse until I finally cave and just indulge myself.
My thoughts tonight were: A) I could go to McDonalds and get a hot fudge sunday B) I could eat a couple of pop tarts that were already in the kitchen C) I could drive to the store and get a bag of Hershey’s chocolate chips and put them on something. It didn’t even matter what that something was at this point. I just needed something and quick.
I didn’t have the time or energy to make anything really involved. The baby had been crying all day and I was super tired. Daddy was sleeping already so he could be up for his graveyard shift so I only had a few minutes to whip something up before the baby noticed that I had left him.
I found this recipe over at Undressed Skeleton for No Bake PB2 & Banana Oat Energy Bars and thought they looked like they were worth a try. So off I went into the kitchen to quickly make them.
They turned out great and I will definitely make them again next next time I get a sweet tooth.
