2large eggs
½cupvegetable oil
1cupsemi-sweet chocolate chipsoptional
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F and prepare an 8×8 pan by spraying it with cooking spray and lining it with parchment paper.
Combine the cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil, in a large mixing bowl.
Mix the ingredients together until they are well combined.
If you want to add chocolate chips, fold them into the mixture.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
Bake the brownies for 20 to 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the brownies comes out clean.
Allow the brownies to cool for a few minutes before cutting them into squares.
Notes
You can also make these brownies in a round pan. The baking time will be the same if you use an 8-inch round pan. If you use a 9-inch round or square pan, the brownies will be thinner and bake up a bit faster, so take 2 to 3 minutes off the total cooking time.
If you don’t have parchment paper, just use pan spray. The parchment makes it easier to lift the chocolate brownies out of the pan.
Oven temperatures vary and may need to be recalibrated periodically to ensure they are accurate. Make sure to check your brownies at the lower end of the recommended baking time.
