Ingredients
1
oz
white rum
2
oz
pineapple juice
1
oz
Midori melon liqueur
1
oz
Blue Curaçao
1
cup
ice cubes
or enough to fill your serving glass
Lime slices and maraschino cherries
optional for garnish
Instructions
Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
Measure and add in Midori, white rum, and pineapple juice. Stir until it's well combined.
Carefully pour the blue curaçao down the inside edge of the glass by pouring it over the back of an upside down spoon to create the layered effect.
Garnish with slices of limes and cherries, if desired.
Notes
Slowly pouring the Blue Curaçao over the back of a spoon helps create distinct layers.
Fill the glass completely with ice to help keep the colors separated longer.
Chilled ingredients work best for a cleaner layered effect.
Coconut rum can be used instead of white rum for a sweeter tropical flavor.
Triple sec can replace the Blue Curaçao, but the drink will lose its signature blue color.
For a frozen version, blend the Midori, rum, pineapple juice, and ice before topping with Blue Curaçao.
