Buckeye Fudge Ingredients
- Butter - unsalted butter
- Peanut butter - creamy peanut butter, NOT the natural no-stir variety
- Vanilla - pure vanilla extract
- Sugar - powdered sugar
- Chocolate chips - milk chocolate chips
- Butter - salted sweet cream butter
- Sweetened condensed milk
Do you prefer crunchy peanut butter instead of creamy? You can easily use crunchy peanut butter instead of creamy in this easy fudge. You can also use dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips can be used instead of milk chocolate chips for your homemade fudge.
Be sure to buy sweetened condensed milk and not evaporated milk. Lining the pan with overhanging parchment paper, or wax paper, will make lifting the fudge out of the pan to slice much easier.

How to Make Buckeye Fudge

THIRD STEP: Slowly add the sifted powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, stirring with a wooden spoon until all the powdered sugar is completely incorporated and there are no streaks or lumps of powdered sugar remaining.

FOURTH STEP: Pour the peanut butter fudge mixture into the prepared pan and, using a spatula, smooth it out into an even layer.
FIFTH STEP: Set it aside while you prepare the chocolate layer.
Chocolate Layer
SIXTH STEP: Using a medium-sized heat-safe bowl, add the chocolate chips, butter, and sweetened condensed milk.
SEVENTH STEP: Heat in the microwave for 45 seconds. Stir, and continue heating in 15-second intervals and stirring until the mixture is smooth.
EIGHTH STEP: Using a silicone or offset spatula, evenly spread the chocolate over the peanut butter fudge layer.
NINTH STEP: Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.
TENTH STEP: Grab the overhanging parchment and remove the fudge from the pan.
ELEVENTH STEP: Slice the fudge into 1-inch x 1-inch squares.
