This Creamy Pesto Chicken Pasta is a delicious and easy meal idea.
Ready for a little story?
Back in my college days, I didn't think I could cook.
I once accidentally put a tablespoon of salt in a batch of homemade cookies.
The recipe called for a teaspoon. Whoops.
You can imagine they didn't taste very good.
Because of this, I convinced myself that I just didn't know what I was doing and should stay far away from the kitchen.
I think there is a little life lesson in there... we sometimes buy into lies about ourselves that just aren't true.
At any rate... I took a break from cooking for awhile.
Thankfully, I decided to give it another go in the kitchen.
I'm so glad I did... because cooking is truly a passion for me.
After my brief hiatus, I went back to spending a lot of time in the kitchen and started experimenting recipes.
I'm proud to be partnering with Barilla.
Easy recipes like the delicious Creamy Pesto Chicken Pasta I'm sharing with you today.
It's the perfect hearty recipe for any young adult to make quickly during a busy night of studying.

Of course, your Barilla Ready Pasta, garlic salt, pepper, butter, cream of chicken soup, milk, Barilla Pesto, chicken breast and Parmesan cheese.
How to Make Creamy Pesto Chicken Pasta
Anyone can make this recipe -- it's so easy.
It's a fantastic recipe for a student to create... and even impress friends with! 🙂
Start by adding olive oil to a large skillet and cooking the chicken breast until it starts to lightly brown. To make it even simplier, this recipe would work great with a rotisserie chicken or already cooked chicken from the deli.
Add your cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic salt, pepper, and pesto sauce to your chicken skillet. Whisk together and bring to a slight boil, then turn down the heat immediately so that you don’t burn the soup mixture to the bottom of the pan. Let simmer for a couple of minutes.
Prepare your Barilla Ready Pasta and add butter to pasta.
Then mix the pesto mixture and pasta together and top with Parmesan cheese!
What to Serve Creamy Pesto Chicken Pasta
This is so yummy with a fresh salad and a crusty, warm loaf of bread.
It's a great, filling meal that will stick to your ribs for hours.
You can't beat how quickly it comes together.. enjoy!

Could I freeze this?
Shauna says
Hi Stacey, I don't see why you couldn't. Just make sure to get as much air out of the freezer bag as possible. I'd recommend only keeping it in the freezer for up to three months.

Hi is this 1/2 cup of milk? What size can?
Emma says
Hey ! So they say can because once you dump the soup from the can you can just fill up half the soup can for a measuring device 🙂 hope this helps !
