Let me start this post out by apologizing. I've been sitting here for the past five minutes trying to type out a paragraph to tell you how delicious this Edible Egg-Less Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is but I can't seem to get what I'm trying to say across and on the blog. Maybe it's because my 2 yr old is singing along with the Alaphabet Song that is blaring from the TV. Or maybe because the baby is banging toys together. Maybe it's because I just turned around and noticed that my older one has his potty training seat stuck around his waist.
Really... that is what's going on in our house right now and I'm wondering why I can't think straight. Or maybe I'm in a food coma from eating too much yummy Cookie Dough? Either way I'm not really with it but still wanted to share this really easy and good recipe with you!
I feel like I owe you a little explanation too. Did you notice that I put my cookie dough in a pretty cupcake liner for my pictures tonight. Ok, let me explain. It's been a LONG day and my boys were kind of needy tonight. I'm sure you know how that is, right? I made this delicious Edible Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and suddenly realized that I didn't have any of my small dishes clean so that I could take pictures.
I stood there as the baby was ramming into my feet with his walker and quickly grabbed these cupcake liners and scooped up what I needed and was snapping pictures before I knew it.
Guess I really didn't think it through too much that you wouldn't really serve these this way. Oh well. I feel silly but what's new 🙂
So I should warn you that this recipe makes a small batch. I think it would be perfect for two people myself. Or I guess just me if I was really hungry and didn't feel like sharing that day (which happens more often than not, lol). If you want a bigger batch you could always double or triple the ingredients if needed.
Edible Egg-less Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
- 1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 5 tablespoons flour
- ⅛ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon milk, we used whole milk
- 3 tablespoons or more semi sweet chocolate chips
- In a small bowl combine the salt, vanilla extract, softened butter, brown sugar and regular sugar. Mix well.
- Add your flour and milk to the mixture and stir again to mix everything together.
- Add your chocolate chips and fold in.
- Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator to harden the mixture just a bit if rolling into balls.
Guess I should mention this just in case... please don't try to cook this cookie dough. It's meant to only be eaten raw!
