For the best results, and ooey-gooey Rice Krispie Treats, you’ll want to use fresh marshmallows. In addition to mini marshmallows, you could substitute a 7-ounce jar of marshmallow fluff instead for this great recipe. To help enhance the sweet flavors even more, you can add just a dash of salt to your butter and marshmallow mixture.
Keep your treats light and crispy by not putting too much pressure when pressing down the mixture into the pan. If you’re using your fingers or rubber spatula to press the mixture down, you can prevent the mixture front from sticking to your hands or spatula by spraying them with a little bit of cooking spray or dampening them before starting.
