Turkey Taco Ring Ingredients
- Crescent rolls - refrigerated crescent rolls
- Turkey - cooked turkey shredded
- Green chilies - diced
- Water
- Taco seasoning - packaged or homemade
- Cheese - cheddar cheese shredded
- Lettuce - shredded
- Salsa
You can bake your turkey breast in the oven or in your Instant Pot. If you’re making this around the holidays it’s also a great way to use leftover turkey.
Add extra flavor to your taco ring by adding whole kernel corn or black beans into the shredded turkey. As you are assembling your ring, placing a small bowl in the center will help you arrange the crescent roll triangles.
The toppings for your taco crescent roll ring are limitless. While salsa is perfect for dipping, you can also garnish your crescent ring with diced tomatoes, green or black olives, sour cream, green onions, or pico de gallo.
How to Make Turkey Taco Ring
FIRST STEP: Preheat oven to 375°F.
SECOND STEP: In a large skillet add the water, shredded turkey, green chilies, and taco seasoning. Cook over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes or until the turkey is reheated.
THIRD STEP: Remove from heat and set aside.
FOURTH STEP: On an ungreased large cookie sheet, arrange crescent dough triangles in a ring so the short sides of triangles form a 6-inch circle in the center. (Place a small bowl in the center to help with arranging the crescent dough). The dough will overlap.

FIFTH STEP: Spoon turkey meat over the wide section of the roll close to the center. Sprinkle cheese on top.
SIXTH STEP: Bring each triangle tip up over the filling, tucking it under the bottom layer of dough to secure it.
SEVENTH STEP: Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until the ring turns a golden brown.
EIGHTH STEP: Allow to cool for 5 minutes before slicing.
NINTH STEP: Place a bowl of salsa in the center of the ring for dipping.
TENTH STEP: Garnish with shredded lettuce, if desired.
Can I use ground turkey?
Yes, you can substitute ground turkey for the shredded turkey. Just brown the ground turkey and then add the seasonings.
What kind of cheese should I use?
Cheddar cheese is a classic choice for tacos, but you could also use another kind such as Monterey Jack or a spicy jalapeño. No matter what kind of cheese you choose, it's best to grate cheese at home as pre-shredded cheese doesn’t always melt completely.
What can I add to my taco ring?
Whole kernel corn or black beans would both make a delicious addition.
How to Store Turkey Taco Ring
IN THE FRIDGE: Store your leftover turkey taco ring in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days.
