“Boy Oh Boy” am I excited to be here at The Best Blog Recipes. First let me introduce myself, I’m Wanda Ann from Memories by the Mile. I would love for you come over a visit me, where I share my love for food, travel and trivia.
Shauna is one of the first bloggers I met (online) and we have become good friends. I wanted to do something to celebrate the birth of the newest little addition to her family. This is my way of helping her while she is on bed rest. Shauna loves CHOCOLATE so I thought I’d make a chocolate cake and if making a cake why not celebrate her baby boy.
What I’m sharing today is the recipe for this “Fluffy White Frosting” and a easy way to decorates a cake for a baby shower. First make your favorite chocolate cake using two round 9″ pans and one round 6″ pan. This is a cake you don’t have to be a baker to make. It’s was so easy and I think it turned out pretty cute. All I used is scrapbook supplies and Blue Buttermints that I found in the baby section at Walmart.
- 2 egg whites
- 1 cups sugar
- ⅓ cup water
- ¼ tsp. cream of tarter
- dash salt
- Combine sugar, water, cream of tarter, salt in sauce pan and bring to a boil, stirring till sugar dissolves. Very slowly add syrup to egg whites in mixing bowl beaten constantly till stiff peaks. This will take about 7 or 8 minutes.
- Frost cake.
After you frost the cakes. Place the Buttermints all around the bottom of the cake and then around the smaller cake. These scrapbook stickers have the 3-D foam on the back, so place a toothpick in the foam and place on your cake. I made the H using scrapbook card stock and crafting scissors. That’s it! Boy Oh Boy Cake celebrating Shauna and baby Wylan. Now if he would just get here.
Oh yeah, here’s Shauna’s chocolate, yummy, yummy, yummy! Shauna I hope you enjoy this online “Boy Oh Boy” cake almost as much as in person.
