Assembling The Cupcakes
SIXTEENTH STEP: Place 2 large candy eyes on top of the frosted cupcake.
SEVENTEENTH STEP: Cut the chocolate chip cookie in half.
EIGHTEENTH STEP: Stick the cookie in the middle of the frosted cupcake as though it is sticking out of his mouth.
What kind of food coloring should I use?
Use gel food coloring to get Cookie Monster’s signature bright blue color. In addition, using liquid food coloring to color frosting can water down the frosting and cause it to not hold its shape as well.
What kind of chocolate chip cookie should I use?
You can use either homemade or store-bought cookies to decorate your cupcake.
How do I store these cupcakes?
Storing the cupcakes in the fridge can cause them to dry out, so it’s best to make them fresh as close to when you want to serve them as you can. You can make them the day before and store them on the counter in an airtight container.
