Crockpot Crack Chicken Ingredients
- Chicken breasts
- Salt
- Onion powder
- Garlic powder
- Dried parsley
- Hidden Valley ranch seasoning mix, dry
- Cream cheese
- Bacon
- Cheddar cheese
- Green onions
Dinner can’t get simpler than mixing ingredients in a crockpot. Cheddar, bacon, and ranch is a classic flavor combination, but there’s plenty of room for originality in how you serve up this addicting dish. Plate the crack chicken over rice or noodles, on a toasted hoagie roll, or over a baked potato.
This recipe can easily be doubled to feed a crowd or to make enough delicious leftovers for quick lunches. Crack chicken sandwiches made with buns or croissants or even tortilla or lettuce wraps would be great for a gathering. It’s even great as a dip with crackers or veggies!
How to Make Crockpot Crack Chicken
FIRST STEP: In a small bowl combine salt, onion powder, garlic powder, dried parsley, and hidden valley ranch seasoning mix.
SECOND STEP: In the Crock-Pot add 4 chicken breasts. Sprinkle seasoning mixture over the top of the chicken breasts. Top the seasoning mixture with cream cheese cubes.
THIRD STEP: Turn the Crock-Pot temperature to low and cover. Let cook for 6-7 hours, or until chicken shreds easily with a fork.

FOURTH STEP: Once the chicken is done cooking, use two forks to shred the chicken while it is still in the Crock-Pot. Stir the shredded chicken and cream cheese together.
FIFTH STEP: Add 1 cup of cheddar cheese to the chicken mixture and stir to combine.
SIXTH STEP: Top with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese, crumbled bacon, and green onions. Cover until the cheese is melted.
SEVENTH STEP: Serve and enjoy!
Cooking Tips
If you are in a time crunch you can cook the chicken on high for 3-4 hours, or until it shreds easily with two forks.
Another great way to shred chicken is to use a hand mixer.
Use real bacon, not bacon bits.
Distribute the cream cheese chunks evenly for even melting.

- 1 1-oz packet hidden Valley Ranch seasoning mix
- 1 16 oz cream cheese, cut into cubes
- 8 sliced bacon , cooked and crumbled
- 1 ½ cup cheddar cheese , shredded
- 3-4 green onions , chopped
DIRECTIONS

So easy to make...and oh my goodness. I used hoagie rolls, but over noodle or with wheat thins..out of this world.
